Some more "Boo Bites"

I have a guide friend in Arkansas who likes my crappie jigs and is going to use them in a Crappie fishing TV show so he came up with a neat little name for them "Boo Biters". He named them after my getting ready to turn six years old daughter Taylor.... but her nickname is "Boo". Ones I tied are black/chartreuse combo's that worked well when I visited him down there over the summer. I threw in one on a pink head just because I had it sitting around .. lol... Anyway if your Ever down Arkansas way and need a good crappie guide look up Jack Harms... he works for JT Crappie Guide Service.

Well I have been busy fishing and working so not much tying going on. Finished up some crappie jigs for a jig swap. 1/32 ounce pink powder painted heads, white/sparkle body, pink marabou and white hackle with some flash for the tail.

1/100th Brown Jigs

Tied up some more tonight. Tied up a few that have been killing the gills all summer and then made up some in a similiar pattern w/ chenille added. Can't wait to hit the water and give them a try.

My passion!

I began tying jigs for bluegill in June. This blog will be a place for me to update my progress and have a place on the web to share my hobby with others. I really enjoy tying jigs and with each fish caught on them my passion grows. I had a chance to take a trip to Arkansas to fish for crappie this summer so I tied up a bunch of jigs for the trip. They caught several species of fish including crappie, bluegill, and walleye. Needless to say I love doing this and look forward to growing my hobby in the future.
